UTTRANCHAL GROUP PROFILE

Ravinder Kumar Lakhera: Managing Director
Mr. R.K. Lakhera is the Founder and MD of Uttaranchal Group Since year 2002. His aim is to provide NZ locals and Visitors a Good Quality professional service along with Quality, authentic Indian food. He has a vast experience in hospitality since 1989. He did his NTVC diploma from India and worked with various 5 star hotels as a chef. He arrived in NZ in 1996 as a chef and after 7 years he opened his own restaurant in 2003 in Auckland.

Indian Aroma now owns more than 12 food outlets in North Island this is achieved because of Ravindra bureaucratic leadership and professional management. Indian Aroma is a well known brand among other leading Indian restaurants chain. Currently he is planning to extend INDIAN AROMA in Australia too.

Furthermore Ravindra has a Music Company called HIMALYAN FILMS PVT LTD in India. He has already produced number of song albums and regional films.


Paras Sachdev: General Manager
Mr. Paras has been a General Manager since 2007. He joined Indian Aroma in 2005 as a Restaurant Manager and has extensive experience in Customer Service and Human Resources. He has held various Hospitality Industry positions' and also worked on number of projects with Auckland City Council. He is currently studying MBA from University of Waikato. He also holds Bachelor of International Hospitality from Auckland University of Technology and Post Graduate Diploma of Management Studies from University of Waikato.

Jatinder Kumar: Business Development Manager
Mr. Jatinder Kumar is with Uttaranchal Group since it started. His aim is to maintain high standards and quality of service to get the desired results for the stakeholders. He has done his B.Com in year 1995 from India and worked as an accountant for MNCs like Hero cycles, Ralson and Hero Majestic etc. He also audited major Indian banks, Insurance companies and manufacturing companies. He came to NZ in year 2001 and worked with Hospitality companies (handling frozen food) and restaurant as a customer service crew. Since he has joined the group, he has seen lots of ups and down but managed to cruise with the association of MD. Currently he is the BDM of Uttaranchal group and handling all the major new project of the companies. (He is always exploring different things which are useful to enhance the standardization of the UTTARANCHAL GROUP.)

Sumit Chopra: Systems Manager
He is a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from India; he has worked as a technical support officer with SBC YAHOO (Convergys) in India. He came to NZ in year 2004 and did Grad Dip in IT from Wintec. During his study, he joined Indian Aroma as a customer service crew member an after his studies he got a position of IT Admin in the company. Due to his hard work, management and IT skills, he progressed through IT Admin to become Systems Manager of Uttaranchal Group in 2007. He is a part of management now but he still likes to be in touch with IT so he has recently finished CCNA in 2008. Along with Ravindra, Jatinder and Paras he forms the backbone for the company.

Monty Chawla: Business Manager (Bay of Island)
Monty Chawla presently working as a Business Manager (Bay of Island). He has done Postgraduate diploma in Hospitality from Waikato University during 2005. Previously, he has done degree in Hospitality and tourism from India. He has joined Indian aroma as a customer servicecrew in 2005. Because of ability to learn and to perform he has been appointed Branch Manager of Whangarei branch. His performance got him a position of Business Manager (bay of island).

Preetam Singh Rana: Head Chef
Preetam Singh Rana has had five years experience working in Orchard Garden in New Delhi, India. He has worked in number of Indian restaurants in New Zealand. He joined Indian Aroma Hamilton as a Curry Chef in 2005 and worked his way up to become Head Chef. He holds Certificate in Professional Cookery from Innovative Educators, New Plymouth.
